5 Things You Should Know Today - Feb. 23, 2012

Job-seekers may want to consider hitting the road this morning to meet more than 50 employers who have job openings available now. Here's what else you should know today:

1. The weather

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch – so expect rain, snow and slippery roads this evening through Friday. Today's high should be around 38, with a low tonight around 30. 

2. Tax Assistance for seniors

Get assistance with federal, state, homestead, and energy credit forms from specially-trained members of the AARP Tuesdays and Fridays, through April 13, at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills. They'll help with simple, E-file returns, and all information is confidential. Call 248-473-1830 to make an appointment.

3. Whose Wives Are They, Anyway?

4. Look ahead: Self-defense seminar

There's still time to register for this Farmington Hills/Farmington Emergency Preparedness Commission event, held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Costick Center. 5. Look ahead: Couples and Depression

The Michigan School of Professional Psychology presents "What to do when your partner is blue" on Tuesday, 7 p.m., at the Farmington Community Library Main Library.
