There's a slight chance of snow after 9 a.m. today, with a high near 41 and winds gusting to 30 miles per hour. The National Weather Service predicts a low tonight of 23.

Join our state senator at the Southfield Public Library, 26300 Evergreen Rd., today at 10 a.m. to get your questions answered and find out more about what's going on in Lansing. He'll talk about Gov. Rick Snyder's proposed budget and a program that provides incentives for hiring veterans.

A draft agenda for tonight's meeting includes a presentation on alternative fuel vehicles and discussions about a draft ordinance for single-family rental inspections, a potential tax abatement, smart meters and cage fighting. A final agenda was not available as of Sunday night. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the community room at city hall.
