You have opportunities to give the gift of life this week and next week.

Did you know that January is National Blood Donor Month? You'll have opportunities over the next few weeks to give at blood drives in the Farmington area. Here's what else you should know today:

1. The weather

You'll get your daily dose of Vitamin D today, as the sun shines out from clear skies. The National Weather Service predicts a high around 44, with a low tonight around 31, with partly cloudy skies.   

2. Blood drives

3. Farmington School Board meets tonight

Officials will meet at the in a closed session at 5:30 p.m. to discuss litigation related to the sale of Eagle Elementary School. A 6 p.m. pre-meeting and 7:30 p.m. study session are open to the public. We've posted a preview and the agenda packet

4. Look ahead: Popular book discussion

5. Look ahead:

Farmington author Nan Willard Cappo will be at  to sign copies of her latest young adult novel, Unaccounted For, as well as copies of her Edgar-Award nominated mystery, Cheating Lessons, on Saturday at 2 p.m.The bookstore will host Michigan authors all day long.
