1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts just a 30 percent chance of snow, but winds could gust as high as 30 miles per hour today and tonight. The mercury won't get over 28 degrees today, and tonight's low dips to around 13.

3. No change in trash collection

Because New Year's Day fell on Sunday, there's no change in trash and recyclables collection. So if the trucks come through your neighborhood on Monday, get those containers out to the curb.

4. Look ahead:

If weight loss is one of your 2012 resolutions, this support group kicks off a new year of meetings tonight at Farmington Hills City Hall, west entrance in the Zoning conference area. For more information, write to OneStepAWeigh@yahoo.com
