5 Things You Should Know Today – July 7, 2011

More summer music is in store tonight at Heritage Park.

A free concert, a magic show and more are on today's agenda in Farmington and Farmington Hills. But first, let's get to the most important news:

1. The weather

Today's forecast calls for sunshine and temperatures in the 80s. According to the National Weather Service, this trend will continue through Saturday. Enjoy it while it lasts.

If the great outdoors is not your thing, the will host a performance by Ann Arbor magician Jeff Wawrzaszek at 2 p.m. This free event is open to all; seating begins at 1:50 p.m.

4. Corsetry 101

A local favorite duo, Rock & Soul, will perform at tonight's Stars in the Park concert in . Bruce Pooley and Teresa Marbury bring a wide-ranging repertoire that will appeal to virtually all musical tastes. In 2010, Marbury won the Black Music Award for best R&B female singer. Bring a picnic dinner, a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the evening; the concert starts at 7 p.m.
