5 Things You Should Know Today - June 4, 2012

The Farmington Area Moms Club reaches out to a Farmington Hills family through a fundraiser at California Pizza Kitchen today and tomorrow.

The first full week in June starts with a fundraiser for the Cipriano family and a car show in Farmington. Here's what else you should know:

1. The weather

While skies will be mostly sunny today, the winds that blew down tree branches and rattled vendors at Art on the Grand over the weekend will continue. The National Weather Service predicts a high around 71 and a low around 51, with winds gusting as high as 21-24 miles per hour.

If you love classic cars, head out to the Village Commons Shopping Center in Farmington at 5 p.m. today to see the Grand River Cruisers Car Club Monday Night Car Show. There's no admission charge for car owners or spectators; the group sells T-shirts and holds a 50/50 raffle to raise money for charities.

Expectant mothers can learn the benefits and advantages of breast feeding, basic nursing positions, common problems and more during this class, taught Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., at . Cost is $25, and registration is required. Visit botsford.org to sign up online.
