5 Things You Should Know Today - Mar. 6, 2012

Today is your last chance to enter our DSO ticket contest, and Farmington school officials look at the International Baccalaureate program tonight.

The mercury is beginning an upward climb, and there are plenty of activities you can enjoy today. (Check our Events calendar for the full list.) Here's what else you should know:

1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts a cloudy start, with gradual clearing and a high of around 49. It'll be breezy today, but the winds will die down tonight, as the temperature falls to around 44.

If you're interested in forming a team for this year's American Cancer Society Relay for Life fundraiser, drop by today at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and prizes will be given away. 4. Farmington School Board meets tonight

Want to learn more about the district's International Baccalaureate program? School officials will hear an update tonight during their 7:30 p.m. meeting at the in Farmington. A complete agenda packet with supporting materials is attached to this post.

5. Look ahead: at the library

Farmington Musicale presents March Musical Madness on Wednesday at 1 p.m., in the auditorium. The program features the musical quintet Sine Nomine performing familiar songs and favorite tunes. The concert is free, and no registration is required.
