5 Things You Should Know Today - March 22, 2012

There's plenty of theater on tap this weekend, and two shows open tonight in Farmington Hills.

Two local student theater productions open tonight, and this weekend will bring an opportunity to see a popular cult classic film. Here's what you should know today:

1. The weather

Today's temperature should work its way into the 80s again, with mostly sunny skies. Tonight, the National Weather Service predicts a 20 percent chance of rain after midnight, and a low around 56. 

2. Turning Conflicts Into Learning

The Oakland Child Care Council’s Early Learning Center will share strategies for using conflict situations to develop important social skills in children. There is no fee for this event, held today, 6:30 p.m., at the . Registration is required; call 248-658-5506.

3. North Farmington, OCC shows open

It's opening night for  at and  at  campus. The North show, with ticket prices at $15 or $12 for students and seniors, begins at 7:30 p.m. The OCC show begins at 8 p.m., and tickets are $8 or $5 for students and seniors.

"Let's do the Time Warp again!" with fans of this cult classic movie on Saturday at the . There are two showings, at 9 p.m. and midnight, featuring a live shadow cast.
