5 Things You Should Know Today - March 25, 2012

Farmington Hills city council and a free cooking class are on tonight's calendar.

You may see frost on the ground if you leave the house before 9 a.m. today. Here's what else you should know on this chilly Monday:

Temperatures will be decidedly cooler today, with a high around 45 and a low tonight around 27, triggering a frost warning. The National Weather Service predicts frost before 9 a.m. today and after midnight tonight.

Officials have a study session tonight at 6 p.m., during which they'll discuss Clearzoning, on-line access to city council packets and a water and sewer payback ordinance. At 7:30 p.m., their regular agenda includes presentation of the and annual reports, and consideration of a lease that will allow development of a dog park on the former William Grace Elementary property on Shiawassee Rd. east of Middlebelt. 4. Look ahead:

Parents are invited to learn more about the district's plans to update technology tomorrow, 7 p.m., at the Ten Mile Building, 32789 W 10 Mile Rd, Farmington. 5. Look ahead:

The Michigan School of Professional Psychology will offer another program in its Better Living Series: Shining a Light on Depression series Tuesday at the , focusing on depression in older adults and how to help the people you love. The speaker will be Dr. Kyle Glasgow, who works with older adults and their families in the Metro Detroit area. There's no charge for the 7 p.m. event, but registration is required.
