5 Things You Should Know Today - May 2, 2012
Congressman Gary Peters hosts a town hall tonight at the Farmington Community Library Main Library in Farmington Hills.

1. The weather
The temperature is expected to shoot up into the 80s today, but the National Weather Service is also predicting thunderstorms, mostly after 1 p.m. Storms are expected to continue through tonight, with the temperature dipping to around 64.

The Farmington Musicale offers its final musical program of the season at 1 p.m. today, with the theme "Enchantment, Magic and Fantasy". Held at , this event is free and open to the public.

Meet with U.S. Rep. Gary Peters (D-9th Congressional) at the today at 6:30 p.m. Peters will make a brief statement and then take questions from the audience.
4. Look ahead:
This weekly raffle raises funds for the Farmington Rotary Club and Xemplar Club, to support their charitable work in the community. Tickets are $1 and may be bought from club members or at in downtown Farmington, before the 9 p.m. Thursday drawing. The ticket holder has the opportunity to draw a card for a chance at 60 percent of the pot that night.

5. Look ahead:
