Today is an , which means air quality may be unhealthy for some people. Here's what else you should know:

1. The weather

Today's high is expected to climb above 80, with ozone levels triggering an Air Action Day. Walk, bike, carpool or use mass transit if possible, and avoid filling up your vehicle's gas tank. Active children and adults, especially those with asthma, should limit outdoor exposure. The air should get better as the temperature drops to around 65 tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

The hosts this event at one of Farmington's newest businesses, now open in the Farmington Crossroads shopping center at 9 Mile and Farmington Roads. The public is invited to help celebrate at noon, and the event is free.

The city devotes a section of its fhgov.com website to major project information, including detailed information and maps. For instance, starting in June, 14 Mile will be rehabbed from east of Haggerty to Drake.
