This morning, Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch staff will spend time at Mentobe Cafe in downtown Farmington, and you're invited to stop by. Here's what else you should know today:

1. The weather

While there's a chance of rain today before 7 a.m., the clouds should clear out and leave us with a sunny day. The National Weather Service predicts a high around 70 and a low tonight in the upper 40s. 

2. Meet Patch at

Stop by the downtown Farmington coffee shop this morning between 10 a.m. and noon to meet with local editor Joni Hubred-Golden and account manager Catherine Grace. We can show you how to get started blogging, share your events and announcements or claim your business listing (it's all free)!

Learn more about Boy Scout Troop 179 today, 7:15 p.m., at , if your son is now in the 5th grade or older. Girls who are 14 or older may come and check out the Venturing Crew. Learn more at bsatroop179.­org

 is offering a make-it and take-it mug project for Mother's Day Wednesday at 6 p.m. Children ages 3 and up are welcome. You buy the mug, and Michaels supplies the decorating items. The program is free, and first-come, first-served, while supplies last.
