5 Things You Should Know Today - Oct. 25, 2011

It's not to early to cast a ballot in this year's election. If you're not going to make it to the polls Nov. 8, there's plenty of time to apply for an absentee ballot:

1. The weather

There's a 30 percent chance of rain today and 60 percent tonight, with a high of 65 and low around 47, according to the National Weather Service. It should stay breezy today, with gusts up to 24 miles per hour.

2. Have you voted yet?

3. Leaf pick-up in Farmington

Noticed those piles of leaves waiting out on the curb? Leaf pick-up began yesterday in the City of Farmington. Love it or hate it, the service moves through local neighborhoods now through Nov. 23. For a map and other information, read the story on our site.

is hosting a series called "Sacred Conversations on Justice", which start with a presentation and then move into small group discussions. Tonight's topic sounds particularly intriguing: "The Intersection of Faith and Politics". There is no charge; the event begins at 6 p.m.
