Aspiring singers in grades 6 to 12 are invited to audition for the Farmington Hills Youth Choir on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at the Heritage Park Visitors Center on Farmington Road between 10 and 11 Mile Roads.

The Youth Choir offers students, from beginner to advanced vocalists, an opportunity to perform a wide variety of music. The group's new director Dennis Ryans II, teaches at Detroit Community High School and recently served as Assistant Music Director of the famed Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit.

In addition to rehearsals and performances, group experiences have included a professional photo shoot and a flash mob performance. The Choir has opened for a Michigan Opera Theatre Ensemble performance, and performed at the State Capitol and at the City’s Holiday Lights ceremony.
