At Long Last, Snow

The National Weather Service predicts one to five inches of snow in the Farmington area between now and Saturday.

After days of rain and mild temperatures, there's finally a little snow on the ground today in Farmington and Farmington Hills. And the National Weather Service (NWS) predicts more over the weekend.

In a special weather statement issued this morning, the NWS warns that an Arctic cold front will move through the area today, bringing with it wind gusts of up to 26 miles per hour. Temperatures will drop through the day into the single digits tonight.

A low pressure system is likely to bring additional snowfall Friday, Friday night and Saturday. While the forecast called accumulation estimates "uncertain", the current prediction is up to five inches.
