Celebrate the Oscars at OCC Orchard Ridge in Farmington Hills

The evening features a six-course dinner and several contests.

The students and faculty of Oakland Community College’s Culinary Studies Institute will present a star-studded dinner Feb. 16 to celebrate the 84th Annual Academy Awards at in Farmington Hills.

The wine-inclusive event begins at 6 p.m.

The ticket price of $60 includes a six-course dinner that begins with passed hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. It is planned and executed by student managers of the school's Events and Catering class. The cuisine is prepared by student chefs of the Buffet and Banquets class.

Entertainment will also be featured, providing excitement worthy of any Oscar night event.

Men should wear ties, and women should don a string of pearls. Participants may dress as their favorite movie star to be nominated in one of the Oscar categories. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed, as well as to the winners of an Oscar prediction contest.

The famed Culinary Studies bakery will be open, featuring superb baked goods for participants to take home and enjoy.
