City of Farmington Declares Snow Emergency

Residents are asked to move vehicles off the streets.

At 7:33 p.m. this evening, the announced a snow emergency, effective at 8:30 p.m., requiring residents to move vehicles off the streets.

The measure was taken to ensure plows are able to clear the streets, according to the announcement. Under a snow emergency, cars left on the streets may be towed.

Snow and sleet have been falling in the area since about 3 p.m. today. The National Weather Service expects the storm to end sometime Monday morning.
