Crowd Packs Laurel Park to See Selena Gomez
Disney Star draws more than 1,000 fans to Livonia on the final stop of her movie tour.
Well over 1,000 fans have lined up at Livonia's Laurel Park Place mall this afternoon to see Selena Gomez, one of the stars of The Disney Channel's award-winning series Wizards of Waverly Place.
The mall is located about two miles south of Farmington Hills, at Newburgh and Six Mile Road.
A Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch reader reports that as of 2:10 p.m., organizers had already handed out all of the 1,000 wrist bands created for the event.

Gomez is slated to arrive at the mall around 7 p.m. for a Q & A session with fans. The event is the last stop on a tour she started in June to promote her new movie, Monte Carlo.
In the movie, which is rated PG, Gomez becomes an accidental heiress when a summer trip to Paris turns into the fantasy of a lifetime. Through a case of mistaken identity, she gets to live like royalty.

Today, her fans are receiving mini-makeovers and a Monte Carlo photo experience before the star's appearance. The event started at 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
The event is taking place near Parisian, in the center court area.
