DTE Expects Power Back On in Farmington Hills Neighborhoods Tonight

High winds knocked out power to more than 8,000 homes on Wednesday night.

Power is back on for all but 848 homes and businesses in Farmington Hills after .

At one point, more than 8,000 homes and businesses were without power. Currently, crews are working to restore an area between Orchard Lake and Middlebelt Roads, south of 11 Mile. Scattered outages remain for about 30 homes north of Eight Mile Rd. from Haggerty to Inkster.

DTE spokesperson John Austerberry said, "In general, we expect to have most of the customers who lost power restored late tonight." He said all of customers in the larger area in Farmington Hills will have power back on today.
