Farmington Area Local Government Offices, Libraries Close Dec. 31-Jan. 1
Post offices in Farmington and Farmington Hills will close their doors at noon on Dec. 31, but you can still buy a stamp or mail a package.
While many local businesses will be open on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, local government offices will not be.
Both Farmington and Farmington Hills city offices will be closed on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 2013, as will the 47th District Court. The Farmington Community Library Main Library and Farmington branch will be closed those two days as well, re-opening Jan. 2.
The Farmington and Farmington Hills post office branches will both close for the holiday at noon on Dec. 31, but both have Automated Postal Centers, where customers can purchase postage, weigh and mail letters or packages.
