Farmington Hills Blood Drive Needs Donors

Give the gift of life at the Costick Center on Thursday, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Registration numbers are low, and donors are urgently needed Thursday, Jan. 19, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., for an American Red Cross blood drive at the , 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd., in Farmington Hills.

January is National Blood Donor Month, and it’s a difficult time to collect donations due to the cold weather and the demands of the new year. Donations will be used for emergency and trauma care, surgeries or the treatment of serious diseases.

Giving blood takes approximately one hour. Donors must be in general good health, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be 17 years of age or older.
