Today's photo looks west on Grand River in 1930. On the right side, you can see the Cook building (home now to , , the and ), which is still a familiar landmark. Earlier this year, we profiled of a member of the Cook family.
One of today's most iconic buildings is missing from the picture; the was built a decade after this photo was taken.
