Get Healthy Saturday at The Old Winery Market in Farmington

Activities will include blood pressure checks, massages and health information.

Already a source of organic produce and foods, the Old Winery Market will focus its attention Saturday on good health.

Market master Jean Smith said the Health Fair, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will include blood pressure checks from representatives of Botsford Hospital, spinal screenings by Simply Chiropractic, complimentary 5-minute massages by D'Marie Therapeutic and helpful advice from nutritionist Renee Heigel.

"We know that most people start the year off wanting to do something healthy, so we came up with the idea of having the health fair," Smith said. Organizers also hope the event gives people another reason to come to the market, in what is typically a slow month.
