Get Out: Wii, State Rep, Benefit

Adults 50 and older can try their hands at Wii games at the Costick Center on Friday.

Why Go: Wii gaming systems aren't cheap, so if you've thought about getting one (strictly for the exercise, of course), here's your chance to give it a test run. For adults 50 and over.

Why Go: While it's not entertaining to stand in line for a passport on a Saturday, the document can get you all kinds of entertainment.

Where/When: , 31205 Orchard Lake Rd., Farmington Hills; Saturday, 10 a.m.

Why Go: Learn what's going on in Lansing from the state legislator who represents Farmington and Farmington Hills. Barnett will take questions, too.

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: , 23815 Power Rd., Farmington; Saturday, 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Listen to nationally and internationally recognized flutist Sarah Frisof in a concert that also benefits Vista Maria, a nonprofit that aids marginalized women and children by helping them break the cycle of poverty. Light refreshments will be served.

Pricing: A donation, payable to Vista Maria.

Where/When: , 35000 Grand River Ave., Farmington; Saturday, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Chris McCall, from popular local band Vinyl Underground, has been diagnosed with cancer and likely won't be able to work as she's fighting the disease. Her friends and fans have an opportunity to help at this event while enjoying an evening of bowling, pizza and fun.

Pricing: $20; event includes a silent auction and raffles.
