Get Out: Wine Tasting, Coffee and Sale

Why go: There's a lot going on in Lansing that affects everyone, and Sen. Vincent Gregory (D-Southfield) can help put some context to recent events.

Where/When: , 29995 W 12 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why go: Mom-to-mom sales are a great way to stretch those budget dollars. This sale does double duty; it benefits the Harrison Class of 2012. You'll find 100-plus tables of merchandise, and strollers are welcome.

Pricing: $2 early bird; $1 after 10 a.m.

Where/When: , 24915b Farmington Rd, Farmington Hills; Saturday, 10 a.m.

Why go: This is an opportunity provided by the Nature Center for Scouts to earn their Wildlife badges, for a minimal costs. If you haven't brought your Scouts to this gem in , this is a great opportunity to introduce them.

Pricing: $7 per scout, no charge for leaders/adults
