Why Go: Kids of all ages are invited to an afternoon of low-tech board games. It's a great way to get the kids out of the house and away from the television and computer during winter break.

AFRICAN AMERICAN CIVIL WAR SERVICE

Where/When: , 32737 W 12 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills; Saturday, 2 p.m.

Why Go: Kids ages six and older will enjoy meeting the 102nd USCT, a group of re-enactors who will demonstrate military drills and wartime activities of African American Civil War soldiers.
