Why go: Your 2-year-old will love this special story time with music, dancing and a simple craft.

Why go: Your child can enjoy an hour of open gym at a very low cost. There are trampolines, an obstacle course and plenty of mats for the children to jump on.

Where/when: , 24915b Farmington Rd., Farmington Hills; 10:30 a.m. Saturday for ages 4-6, noon for children 7-11.

Why go: This is a great opportunity for children to get hands-on experience with the natural world around us, to explore the many exhibits and to watch birds and other wildlife at the Nature Discovery Center.

Pricing: Club fees are prorated based, on when the child joins.

Why go: Listen to stories and make a craft with your 3- to 5-year-old child. There are also plenty of toys for your child to play with as well while you socialize with other parents.

Why go: Bring a picnic dinner and a blanket to enjoy the Farmington Community Library Teen Advisory Board's presentation, Reader's Theater. The show will begin at 7 p.m., and the library will provide dessert.
