Miss Oakland County Pageant Applications Due By May 3

Young women ages 17-24 who have lived or worked at least 6 months or attend school full-time in Oakland County are eligible.

The Miss Oakland County Scholarship Program is accepting applications for 2013 Scholarship Pageant, a preliminary to the Miss Michigan and Miss America pageants.    

Young women ages 17-24 who have lived a minimum of 6 months in Oakland County or worked full-time a minimum of 6 months in Oakland County or attend school full-time in Oakland County, may apply.

Last year, the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance. The Miss America Organization is also partners with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Miss America 2008, Kirsten Haglund, was Miss Oakland County 2006.

The deadline to enter is May 3, and the pageant will be held Saturday, July 13.
