More Than 750 DTE Customers in Farmington Hills Lose Power Sunday

The power company expects to have the lights back on by noon on Monday.

An auto-protection device is being blamed for a power outage that left 751 DTE Energy customers in the dark Sunday night.

According to the power company's website, the area affected stretches along either side of Farmington Road, from 12 Mile to just north of 13 Mile. A Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch reader noted on Facebook that traffic lights are out in that area.

The power went out at around 7 p.m.; DTE expects restoration by noon on Monday.
