Old Winery Market Offers Fun for Children Today

Today is the first of just two more winter markets before the Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market opens May 5.

The Old Winery Farmers Market is winding down, with markets today and April 28 closing out the 2011-2012 season at the Old Winery/Powerhouse building on Grand River in Farmington. 

Today, the market offers children's activities, including a story hour at 10 a.m., balloon artist and face painter. About 30 vendors will be on-site from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with Michigan-made products and Michigan-grown produce. Breakfast and lunch items, including pancakes, waffles, crepes and pannini sandwiches, are also available.

The Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market opens May 5 in the in downtown Farmington. This year's market promises a broader selection of vendors, including 20 who are new to the community this year. The line-up will expand to include more gluten-free, raw and organic foods vendors.
