Farmington and Farmington Hills are blessed with many nonprofit organizations that make our community a better place to live. Here are a few we think you should know. F2H Optimist Club — This organization is building the next generation of community leaders, one Jr. Optimist Club at a time. Volunteers are putting in countless hours organizing young people who are interested in community service.
— Our admiration for the American Legion was cemented on a bitterly cold day in December, when a small group turned out to lay wreaths on the War Memorial in downtown Farmington. , the annual Memorial Day parade and Girls and Boys State are just a few of the ways the organization reaches out.

Farmington Area Jaycees — The group that organizes also and has offered to lend a hand in organizing efforts to create a dog park in Farmington Hills. These young adults set a great example with their extensive community involvement.
