Power Outage Closes Farmington Community School, Central High School

Power has been restored to an area affecting more than 2,000 residents in Farmington Hills.

and were dismissed at noon today, due to a power outage affecting more than 2,000 Farmington Hills residents.

Afternoon early childhood sessions were also cancelled. 

DTE Energy spokesperson John Austerberry said power was restored shortly after 1 p.m. today, and the outage was possibly related to today's gusty winds.

The outage, which began late this morning, affected residents east and west of Middlebelt Road, and stretched from Eight Mile to just north of Nine Mile.
