UPDATED: Power Still Off? Head Over to the Costick Center for Air Conditioning, Bottled Water
More than 2,500 of about 7,000 DTE customers who lost power in this week's storms remain offline. Relief from today's heat is available at the City of Farmington Hills recreation center.
UPDATE: DTE Energy spokesperson Len Singer said this afternoon that the end is in sight for the majority of customers without power.
"Ninety percent who've been affected will have power restored tonight," he said. "The majority of the remainder will be restored by Saturday night."
However, Singer warned, there likely will be some individual exceptions. He noted Oakland County was "probably the hardest hit of the areas we serve", with 35,000 customers offline at the height of the power outage.
