Pre-Labor Day Farmington Market Has Music and Chef Demo in Store

Pick up tickets for the popular Harvest Moon Dance today, too.

It's the last weekend of August, and with Labor Day just around the corner, you can stock up on fresh vegetables and more today at the Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market. The market opens at 9 a.m. in downtown Farmington

Music at the Market features The Two Timers, with lead vocalist and guitarist Lenny Earls and lead guitarist Rob Renirie. They perform their blend of acoustic rock and country from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

At 11 a.m., see what’s Cookin’ at the Market with Chef Tony Shushtari of of Farmington Hills. Also at 11 a.m., bring the kids to Let's Play! Game day in the Park! with staff from .

Meet at the Information Booth at 10 a.m. for the Farmington Fit walk, a 1-mile trek through downtown Farmington. It's a good way to get in some exercise, and when you return to the market, cross "buy tickets to the Harvest Moon Celebration, held Sept. 22-24, off your list.
