Schedule Announced for Faerie Gathering Events

Activities will be held in and around Farmington, with the main event at American Legion Post #346.

Learn more about faeries, have an elegant tea and enjoy plenty of games as the Farmington Faerie Gathering gets underway this weekend. 

Host businesses Off the Beaten Path Books & Cafe, The Vines and The Sacred Sage have announced a schedule of events for Saturday that starts at 10 a.m. with a panel discussion of popular superstitions about faeries, and the opening of vendor exhibits and a gaming room.

At 11 a.m., faerie expert Hayley Jane will host a discussion, and the City of Farmington Hills Nature Discovery Center hosts an animal exhibit from noon to 3 p.m., with a frog wand craft.

Share tea and delicious desserts with faeries at 1 p.m., and stick around for "Are You a Werewolf?", hosted by Ted Ursus, at 3 p.m. The Faerie Ball, for adults 21 and older, begins at 7 p.m., offering music, hors d'oeuvres, adult beverages and costume contests. 

Children under age 13, accompanied by an adult, are admitted free to all events (except the Faerie Ball). Registration is requested at farmingtonfaeriegathering.com.

Pick up a $15 pass for all daytime events (excluding the tea), a $30 pass for the daytime events and the Faerie Ball, or a $10 ticket for the Faerie Tea at any of the three sponsoring stores, on-site the day of the event, or at farmingtonfaeriegathering.com.
