1. Geek The Library - Town Wide Scavenger Hunt

  • When: Friday, April 12, 2013, All day
  • Where: The Farmington Community Library Farmington Branch 23500 Liberty St, Farmington
  • What: In celebration of National Library Week: Communities Matter the downtown Farmington Branch Library will sponsor a town wide scavenger hunt. Prizes will be awarded to First, Second and Third place from all the correct entries.

2. Group Runs

  • When: Wednesday, April 10, 2013, 6:30 pm
  • Where: Running Fit, 6623 Orchard Lake Rd, West Bloomfield
  • What: A weekly group run for Runners of all abilities and paces. Runs are generally 3-6 miles. It's FREE. Occasional door prizes, raffles, etc

3. Entrepreneurism in the Arts: Commissioning a New Opera

  • When: Wednesday, April 10, 2013, 1:00 pm
  • Where: Oakland Community College Orchard Ridge Campus, 27055 Orchard Lake Rd, Farmington Hills
  • What: Adult Learning Institute (ALI), is proud to present this free musical program by the University of Michigan Opera Studio.  Professor Kay Castaldo, new UM opera director and collaborator with Professor Robert Swedberg, pianist-coach Kathryn Goodson, and the UM students will present selections from the world premier (April 11-12, 2013), of an exiciting new operatic work, Marco Polo, by Florida composer Stella Sung.  All are welcome.
