1. Read It! Replace It! A community reading program partnered by the Junior Optimists and The Farmington Community Library

  • When: Tuesday, April 16, 2013, 7:00 pm
  • Where: The Farmington Community Library Main Library, 32737 W 12 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills
  • What: Read It! Replace It! is a reading program that makes books available throughout the community for children/teens to read. Look for the Read It! Replace It! Library  at various locations throughout the community. Rules are simple: Pick a book, read it, and return it to the Read It! Replace It! Library. You can return the same book or replace with another in the same condition. Kick off party at the Main Library on April 16 at 7:00pm. Students from the Farmington School of Rock  will be performing.

3. Lenore Marwil Jewish Film Festival

  • When: Sunday, April 13, 2013, All day
  • Where: Berman Center for the Performing Arts, 6600 W Maple Rd, West Bloomfield
  • What: The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit is set to host the 15th Annual Lenore Marwil Jewish Film Festival April 7–18, presenting 30 award-winning films that tell the stories of everyone from a talented songwriter to a famed Israeli war hero to those affected by the Holocaust. Audiences will be able to see films that break barriers and conquer social divides so they can better understand the world; they will be transported while they learn, relax and are entertained.
