Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Oakland County

The National Weather Service warns these storms could produce hail and high winds.

At 3:27 p.m. today, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a severe thunderstorm warning for all of Oakland County, including Farmington and Farmington Hills. 

According to the NWS bulletin, at 3:25 p.m., the storm was located near Fenton and moving to southeast at 40 miles per hour. It is capable of producing quarter-sized hail and winds up to 60 miles per hour.

For safety, residents are urged to move to an interior room in their homes or businesses as this line of storms approaches.
