Farmington Hills Holiday Expo Opens At Costick Center

The annual Holiday Expo returns to the Costick Center on Friday and Saturday and features unique gift ideas from local artists and crafters.

If you love to find a one-of-a-kind gifts for the people on your gift list every year, visit the in Farmington Hills next weekend and you'll discover unique products, handmade arts and crafts and personalized items for everyone on your list.

The City of Farmington Hills Department of Special Services is hosting its annual on Dec. 9 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"We'll have about 65 vendors this year," said Brian Farmer, Recreation Superintendent for the City of Farmington Hills. "We've added a second day to the Holiday Expo, and we'll have Santa here for the first time at this event. In addition, there will be raffles for prizes (products from the crafters) throughout the evening on Friday."

Crafters and artists will display their unique wares, and a few commercial vendors (such as Mary Kay and Scentsy) will also be on hand. Products range from original infant and toddler clothing, accessories and toys to handcrafted wood lamps and clocks, from jewelry and hair ornaments to pottery, candles and sculpture. All of the crafters are local, many from Farmington and Farmington Hills.

The Costick Center is located at 28600 Eleven Mile Road, between Middlebelt and Inkster Roads.

Don't forget to bring the kids to see Santa! He will be on site on Saturday between noon and 3 p.m. to visit with local children.
