Start the Year with Music at the Farmington Community Library

Sing and dance along at these three family-friendly concerts held over the next three months.

The Farmington Friends of the Library offers local families three opportunities to beat the winter blues with concerts by lively and talented musicians and singers.

These free events, held at the Farmington Community Library Main Library Auditorium, are open to everyone:

Kevin Devine – Rollicking Sing-Along, Dance-Along Music Saturday, Jan. 12, 10:30 a.m.
This award-winning children’s entertainer and recording artist has written more than 750 songs for his own albums and concerts as well as for the television shows Barney, Sesame Street, and others. Registration required; call 248-848-4315.

Carissa Knoles – Early Childhood Music that Rocks! Saturday, Feb. 16, 10:30 a.m.
Miss Carissa’s witty lyrics appeal to both children and adults. With a degree in Early Childhood Development she performs songs that combine music and movement to encourage healthy growth and development. Registration required; call 248-848-4315. 

Music with Joy – New and Favorite Songs, and Bubbles Too Saturday, March 23, 10:30 a.m.
Children will enjoy creative movement with songs, music, finger plays, rhymes, and even bubbles. Joy Simpson is a Farmington favorite who strives to enrich and enhance basic learning skills through her fun-filled programs. Registration required; call 248-848-4315.
