Storms Knock Out Power for Hundreds of Farmington Area DTE Customers

More than 70,000 metro Detroiters are without power.

Hundreds of Farmington and Farmington Hills residents were left without power Thursday afternoon, in the wake of a severe spring storm. 

The largest area of affected DTE Energy customers is between 11 Mile and 12 Mile Roads in Farmington Hills, from west of Orchard Lake Road to just east of Drake Road. 

A Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch Facebook fan notes that traffic lights are out in the area of M-5/Grand River and Halsted, and Suburban Ice Farmington Hills in the 10 Mile and Haggerty area informed their Facebook fans of a power outage around mid-afternoon.
