Support Animal Shelters This Summer at Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market

Bring donations of pet food, toys and other items to Pet Daz, June 2-August 25.

Beginning June 2, visitors to the Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market at the in downtown Farmington will have the opportunity support local animal shelters and rescues. 

During Pet Daz, sponsored by the Friends of the Market, the market information booth will serve as a collection point for donations every Saturday through August. Suggested items needed include: dog food, cat food, kitty litter, toys, bones, blanket. The first Pet Daz event will feature Backdoor Friends Purebred Cat Rescue, with a variety of cat-themed items for sale. Adoption and foster applications, and photos of cats for adoption, will be available.

Open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., today's market pays tribute to America's military. Renovation of the lawn at Riley Park is underway, so vendors will remain on the street in front of , , ,  and .

Little Sprouts Kids Corner, hosted this week by  provides activities for children from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Friends of the Market

Donate $20 to support the market and receive a free jute market bag or apron filled with coupons and trinkets from downtown merchants. Learn more at the information tent. 

Music at the Market

Market favorite Mark Reitenga performs original compositions and the music of artists from America to Van Morrison in an energetic, acoustic musical style, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Parking

Parking is available in the Downtown Farmington Center, on Orchard St. (behind the Center) and at the Maxfield Training Center on Thomas St.
