UPDATED: The Vines in Downtown Farmington Wins Readers' Choice Poll

"Every time I leave the Vines, I walk away with a smile and giggle."

That's how one Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch reader described her experience with . The downtown Farmington florist came out on top in our most recent Readers' Choice poll, which ended at 9 a.m. today. 

In a Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch directory review, Veronica Jamieson describes herself as a "lifelong customer" and wrote that The Vines is the only florist she goes to for any event. Two other customers shared reviews, adding to The Vines' scoring in our bi-weekly poll. 

 finished in second place, and  in third. ,  and  all received votes. 

The Vines owner Michelle Hinds said she believes her customers appreciate the store's fresh flowers, consistency and the unique touches that go into arrangements. And, she said, "I think we're pretty friendly."

Hinds has been in business in Farmington for more than 30 years and has lived in the community since she was five years old. A graduate of , she said she has done wedding arrangements for couples who are now coming in to order flowers for their children's graduation parties.

"It's just so nice to build a relationship with customers," she said, adding her gratitude to "all my loyal customers and friends."
