Venus, Jupiter End Their 'Twilight Tango' Monday Night

A Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch reader captured the two planets aligned with the moon on Sunday night.

If you watch the night sky, you may have noticed two small and bright lights positioned near the moon over the past month.

According to space.com, Venus and Jupiter completed their last "twilight tango," near the moon at dusk, on Monday night. They'll now drift apart, with Jupiter disappearing in April and reappearing in late June, the website reports. Venus will move lower in the sky, but grow brighter.

Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch reader Bryce Berger captured the above photo, taken in his driveway on Sunday night. "The moon, Jupiter and Venus are all visible quite near each other.  Jupiter is seen below and to the left of the moon and Venus is above to the left forming a triangle of sorts," he wrote.
