What You Should Know About Jan. 21 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday
Local government offices are closed, and the Farmington Community Library is open.
Because today is a federal holiday commemorating the birthday of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., local government offices and some businesses will be closed.
Here's what you should know:
- Both the Farmington and Farmington Hills Post Office branches are closed today. Both have Automated Postal Centers, where you can weigh packages, purchase postage and conduct other business. There will be no mail delivery.
- Farmington Public Schools are not in session today.
- City offices in Farmington and Farmington Hills are closed today.
- The 47th District Court building is closed today.
- Garbage and recycling pickup will take place on the regularly scheduled pickup days this week.
