Where in Farmington or Farmington Hills?

Do you know which Farmington building this owl guards?

Today's mystery photo is not a real hoot.

The molded owl pictured above sits high above Farmington and guards a historic building, presumably to scare away real birds.

Your mission, should you choose to accept, is to tell us in the comments section below where this picture was taken. If no one has guessed after the first day, we'll post a clue.

Bonus points if you can tell us what the building was before it became what it is today.

No guesses on our mystery photo, so here's a clue: This building once housed the Farmington Library.

If it housed the old Farmington Library, then it's the office building on Farmington Road just south of Grand River between the CVS parking lot and the Chase Bank.

Peggy, it goes much farther back - to the very first Farmington library space.

Vesta Cassie, you are correct - and you are, too, cee mee. The building you've described is now the Masonic Temple. It was once Farmington Township Hall.
