YMCA Boo Bash Is Frightfully Fun For Families

The Farmington YMCA held its annual Halloween celebration on Saturday.

The Farmington YMCA hosted ghouls and princesses, superheros and villains on Saturday evening at the annual Boo Bash.

Katrina Stewart, Youth and Family Director at the Farmington YMCA, said, "We hold this event every year. Every YMCA across the country does it and it's always held on the last Saturday of October. We have lots of fun with it!"

The event was free and open to the public and included lots of safe Halloween-themed activities. Children and parents in attendance picked their own pumpkin from the YMCA's "pumpkin patch," got on board a haunted bus for a spooky scare or two, played games to win prizes and created their own crafty treats. In the gym, they danced under colored lights to music played by a DJ; the evening ended with a costume contest for the children.
