5th Annual Kiehl's LifeRide for amfAR


WhatKiehl’s Since 1851, the New York-based purveyor of fine
quality skin and hair care, is revving up for its fifth annual Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR, an 11-day philanthropic motorcycle ride from Milwaukee to New York City from August 2 - August 12 which will raise funds and awareness for amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research. For the first time, metro
Detroit is hosting a stop along this year’s ride
, complete with a public
event at the Kiehl’s store in The Somerset Collection, where hundreds of
cheering fans will greet and meet the celebrity LifeRiders as they ride into
the Motor City, learn more about amfAR and contribute to the cause.

Schedule of Events:

11:30 a.m.- Art Action Experience by Daniel Cascardo begins

12:00 p.m.- Arrival of Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR riders

12:15 p.m.- Special presentation of check to amfAR including Chris Salgardo, Mayor Dane Slater and Troy Chamber of Commerce President Topouzian

· Kiehl’s will introduce a Limited Edition Ultimate Strength Hand Salve, a jumbo size of the company’s classic formula and customer favorite.
100% of Kiehl’s net proceeds from the sale of this product, up to $25,000, will
benefit amfAR. The Limited Edition Ultimate Strength Hand Salve will be available in a specially designed 7.8.oz size, and is adorned with a red cap. $28.50

· Guests can take part in the live painting Art Action Experience with Detroit’s own Daniel Cascardo.

· Photo opportunities with the LifeRiders

· Power Station refreshment bar with Detroit’s favorite foods, including Garden Fresh Salsa, known for its No. 1 refrigerated salsa and tortilla chip in
the deli; and the Detroit Popcorn Company, providing ready-to-eat,
gourmet popcorn products & more to Detroit since 1923.

· Celebration discount of 15% on all purchases at the Kiehl’s store at The Somerset Collection on August 6, with the exception of charitable products and value sets, to donate the difference to amfAR, up to a $125,000 total donation. 

At the conclusion of this year’s ride, Kiehl’s will have raised $1,025,000 for amfAR via motorcycle rides and event donations. To learn
