Botsford Hospital presents community seminar on supporting dying patients and family caregivers

Noted hospice and palliative care expert Dominic F. Glorioso Jr., D.O., will present a free community lecture at 7 p.m., Monday, December 2 at Botsford Hospital's Education and Administration Center, Classroom C. 
 
Sponsored by The Botsford Foundation and Gentiva Hospice Foundation, Dr. Glorioso will discuss death and dying and the importance of family support. "Death and dying are personal and painful experiences for both the individual going through the process and their loved ones," Dr. Glorioso said.  
"Psychological and physical needs change and present new challenges for families." 
 
Dr. Glorioso is director of palliative care at Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, Penn., and a hospice physician at York Hospital, York, Penn. He is a nationally recognized lecturer and author on the subject of end-of-life decisions.
