Kwanzaa Celebration

The African American Family Network of Farmington and Farmington Hills hosts its annual Kwanzaa celebration.

Observed the week of Dec. 26 through Jan. 1, Kwanzaa celebrates the virtues of Faith, Purpose, Creative Work and Responsibility, Unity, Self-Determination, Cooperative Economics and Creativity. While largely a celebration of African American culture, organizers of the local event believe people of all cultures can benefit from sharing the Kwanzaa values.

The event will include entertainment and food, and there is no admission charge. For more information, contact Douglas and Ouley Saulsberry at 248-737-3023 or oudr@aol.com
